First developed by the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2008, the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition challenges research students to communicate the significance of their projects to a general audience within three minutes. The University of Hong Kong (HKU) held its internal virtual 3MT Competition successfully in April – June 2022 and is now participating in the Universitas 21 (U21) Virtual 3MT Competition, where video entries rather than live presentations will be judged.

Below are the details of the HKU representative in the U21 3MT Competition 2022:
Name: Mr Bovern Suchart Arromrak
Degree Registered: PhD
Faculty: Faculty of Science
Presentation Title: Is a “hungry” bacteria a “picky-eater”?
Primary Supervisor: Dr Juan Diego Gaitan-Espitia

Colleagues and students are invited to view all the 20 video entries and vote for the People’s Choice Award at https://universitas21.com/3MT2022 by Monday, October 3, 2022 (UK time).
