Habitat: larvae found in water filled ditches, shallow weedy habitats and marshes

General appearance: body small sized, about 12mm long; head pentagonal with postocular lobes rounded & large eyes; pale longitudinal stripe on midline of abdomen; three sword-like caudal gills with dark markings
