Body size 6.5mm long (excluding antennae & cerci) - regarded as early larval stage
Body cylinderical & elongated (abdominal segments VII-IX greatly extended), cream yellow body with feathery gills

Head
Compound eyes black, ocelli white with crescent-like black markings inner-marginally
* Frontal process rounded
* Mandibular tusks symmetrical

Thorax
Legs fossorial for digging burrow

Abdomen
Abdomen ivory yellow without markings on terga in this stage
7 pairs of abdominal gills arising dorsally: gill I bi-lamellae simple & slender, gills II-VII bi-lamellae feathery
Cerci length is about one-third of body length, fringed with fine hairs

Distribution: This sole specimen is collected in Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve in 2016.

Habitat: Larva is found in head of stream, shallow and clean water.
