General appearance
Body size small up to about 4mm long (excluding antennae & cerci)
Body densely covered with fine setae

Head
Head capsule surface covered with tiny acute granules
>6 long stout setae located on inner side of antennal pedicles

Thorax
*Anterolateral corner of mesonotum without a distinct process
Fore fermora with a transverse row of 6-8 long stout setae on distal one-third place

Abdomen
Operculate gill II uniform brown with paler margin with long setae laterally; Y-shaped ridge with long clavate setae on inner ridge
Terga I - VI light yellow, terga VII - X yellowish brown; terga II - IX with posterolateral spines & long setae on lateral margin
Three caudal filaments subequal in length and about two-third of body length

Distribution:
In Hong Kong, specimens are recorded from Tan Chuk Han (Fan Ling), Bride's Pool (Tai Po), Ho Chung and Tai Mong Tsai (Sai Kung).
