Body size small up to about 4mm long (excluding antennae & cerci)
Abdomen dorso-ventrally flattened to give a stout impression (cf. an elongated body shape of Labiobaetis)

Presence of a row of long setae along tibiae & a transverse row of long setae across tibiaea
Claw with two rows of 3 denticles (cf. no denticle in Cloeodes longisetosus)
Dark brown marking on dorsum of fermora submedially, on tibiae & tarsi proximally (see the picture below)

Abdomen
Gills I - VII single, tracheated, a pale coloration on tergum VIII
Terminal filament is not reduced -- 3 caudal filaments are shown clearly; cerci length is about less than half of body length

Distribution:
In Hong Kong, specimens are recorded from Sam A Shui Tsuen (Lantau Island), Shing Mun, Lam Tsuen River, Pak Tam Chung, Tai Shui Hang (Ma On Shan).
