General appearance
Body color yellow brown; thoracic nota with some brown markings and tubercules
Body shape dorso-ventral flattened

Thorax
Hindwing pads vestigal
* Basis of all legs with single finger-like white coxal gill

Abdomen
Gills I - VII single without serrate margins and untracheated
* Posterior margins of terga I - II with single median dorsal tubercle, but paired dorsal tubercules on terga III - IX
Distance between bases of dorsal tubercules on tergum III longer than its length of tubercule (cf. shorter length for B. macani)
Central filament is greatly reduced to give a two-tailed impression; cerci length longer than body length by 1.5 times.
