Coelostoma sp.1

Family: Hydrophilidae
Subfamily: Spaeridiinae
Tribe: Coelostomatini

General appearance: body slightly dorsoventral flattened; head subquadrate, wider at base and presence of U-shaped frontal lines; antennae biramal; mandibles symmetrical, with two inner teeth on each side; presence of a single triangular tooth on middle of anterior edge of clypeolabrum as a distinct feature*; thoracic dorsal plates sclerotized; legs short, unnoticeable in dorsal view; abdomen fully covered by fine hairs, spiracular atrium well developed.

* But some Dactylosternum spp. are reported having a single tooth as well. A further examination will be needed.
