General appearance: Body outline fairly continuous; hind claws are of equal length; pronotum narrowly but clearly bordered laterally; Six conspicious elytra striae; all elytra striae ends near prosternal side; hind coxal lines well impressed and nearly touching median line, turning outward at a near-right angle into hind coxal process. Differ from Copelatus oblitus by that two of the elytra striae on each sides close to the sides and one close to the middle do not end close to the base of elytra.
