Assessment Methods & Weighting
1st Semester
A research report of 6,000 - 8,000 words excluding figures and reference list (70% weighting) should be submitted by 1 December 2023 Friday (on or before 17:00). A copy of the report in pdf format must be emailed to Ms. Flora Chan via ppchan@hku.hk.
Students have to complete a formal write-up of the project in the style of a leading journal in their particular research field which their supervisor will select. The research report will be assessed by course coordinator or second examiner (28%) and supervisor (42%). Students are also required to present their project in a seminar on 6 December Wednesday 2023. 30% weighting of the final mark will be assessed by the supervisor (15%) or second examiner (15%) based on the oral presentation (15 minutes).

2nd Semester
