Assessment Methods & Weighting
1st Semester
A research report of 5,000 - 6,000 words excluding figures and reference list (80% weighting) must be submitted by 1 December 2023, Friday (on or before 17:00). Please email your report in pdf format to Ms. Flora Chan via ppchan@hku.hk.
Students have to complete a formal write-up of the project in the style of a leading journal in their particular research field which their supervisor will select. The research report will be assessed by the supervisor and a second examiner. Students are also required to present their project in a seminar tentatively scheduled on 5 December Tuesday 2023. This will be 20% weighting of the final mark and be assessed by the course coordinator or second examiner.
